Education brings success down the house
Sep 18
Education is the most imperative asset in human evolution. It aids in broadening one’s perspective, boosting intellectual development and uplifting the quality of life by virtue of improving hygiene, productivity, and decision-making power. An immediate urge to improve the quality of education at grass root level is significant. Steps undertaken to propagate education at grass root level:
Expansion of social infrastructure
The Government has passed a decree of spending INR 61,427 crores on education. The Government must embark upon a legitimate utilization of funds by directing its focus on expansion of infrastructure in the field of education.
Building a robust foundation
Primary education is of prime significance in formulating a strong foundation for the future. Provision for imparting education for free and compulsorily till 5th standard should be made. Schools must make an initiative to encourage physical curriculum, classroom quiz contest and curtail workload to let students become intellectual.
Encourage Practical Knowledge
Every human is empowered with talent in him. An endeavor to bring out his talent must be the bottom line of Education. Putting bookish knowledge in real use is what brings about a metamorphism in the society. Practical education is better than book mugging.
Quota elimination
Embrace the policy of merit system and discard caste system. Deserving students should not be averted on the cost of extensively prevalent quota system. Communities that have definite percentage of seats thwart the common man from the possibility of being included in that percentage. For instance, Scheduled caste reserves 20% of the seats; commons will be assessed out of 80%. They were likely to have chance to be included in that 20%.
Right to education
Promote a free education campaign in small villages and towns. Accentuate the relevance of a quality education. Provide opportunities to students in Rural India by making them entitled to scholarships.
Hike in faculty’s salary
Poor remuneration turns away the talent. A good university is characterized as one when it has the world’s elite faculty. Put stringent quality control while hiring them and inculcate a sense of accountability amidst them.
Higher education has been the National agenda of Government for last five years. Our prime mister has launched National Knowledge Commission (NKC), a commission that will guide on how to improve education. The Government has decided to spend close to $67 billion in the 11th five-year plan on education.
Education is an integral part of one’s life. One can lead a successful life by executing the skills procured throughout his life.
